By Firefighter Nicholas Linacre
August 8, 2019

Fire Officers are expected to make life
threatening decisions with little time to process information. Training becomes our most important tool and fire departments need to invest in their officers. Give them the training they need to help them perform their job. Good decisions save lives and enhance firefighter safety. Understanding building construction and how it impacts fire behavior, reading smoke conditions and determining location and extent of fire, deciding if you should attempt rescue operations and achieving tactical objectives with limited resources. These are all important training topics a fire officer needs.

Program will review
 Understanding modern fuel loads
 Building construction
 Size-up & Tactical Considerations
 Flow path management
 Reading Smoke
 Wind driven fires
 Firefighter Safety & Survival

The class will be held at Carolina Fire Station 61, 208 Richmond Townhouse Rd Carolina RI 02812. The class will run from 6PM to approximately 9PM on August 28th. If you have not registered yet, please contact Nick Linacre by email at rcfdtraining@yahoo.com and please include the number of attendees from your department.
