On Monday June 27 the League held its annual President’s Steak Fry & Swearing In of League Officers. This year we have two Board transitions.

Chief Scott Barber has retired as Board Director and as Chairman of our Radio Committee. Chief Barber of the Carolina Fire Department has served for over 23 years on the Board of the League.

Chief Bob Peacock has retired as the Board Vice President. Chief Peacock served 11 years on the Board and as the League’s longtime training officer. Bob retired at the end of last year after 9 years as the Watch Hill Fire Chief.

Assuming new board sports are Kingston Fire Chief Tom Reed as Vice President and Westerly Fire Chief John Mackay. President Lee, Treasurer Kettle, and Secretary Koretski all were elected to serve another term.

Past President and Retired Kingston Chief Nate Barrington administered the oath to the new Board among 35 attendees from 17 league departments.

Thank you to our outgoing members and congratulations to the new board.
