It is with a heavy heart and deepest regret that the Rhode Island Southern Firefighters League announces on behalf of Chief Justin Lee the passing of Retired Fire Chief and Past League President Frederick A. Stanley.

Chief Stanley served the Hope Valley-Wyoming Fire District for 51 years and a member for 67 years. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a strong advocate for all things fire service. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and all that he touched with his life. Fred’s mission of “Always putting the victim first” has been instilled in all of us throughout his years of mentorship and wise council.

His presence will be sorely missed by those in the League.
