The RI Southern Firefighter’s League hosted almost 45 drivers from 9 member departments through the Emergency Vehicle Operators Course at Misquamicut State Beach in Sunday October 18. The League proudly has offered this program several times in the last few years since a train the trainer program was offered by VFIS, our insurance carrier.

Instructors included: Chief Andrew Kettle, Deputy Chief Steve Howard, Captain Mike Deninger, Captain Patrick Hawkins, and Lieutenant Christopher Koretski.

Special thanks to Charlestown Rescue, Hope Valley Fire, and Watch Hill Fire for the use of their equipment including the command trailer and cones for the day. A big thanks also goes out to the Providence Canteen and RIDEM for their support.
